OMCOR Designs is an Australian Independent Designer brand based in Melbourne. Olivia Cornwell, the designer, founder and owner, has recently started her own small brand with event/occasion wear as well as ready to wear. She started by producing and selling her own hand made Face Masks during the second lockdown in Melbourne, 2020.
Since then, Olivia has expanded her studies and has started up a Fashion Styling segment to her brand, where she offers many packages to suit her, men and women clients on how to style, with home wardrobe edits and personal shopping sessions, which help to restyle and reuse your garments to find new looks.
Olivia aspires for OMCOR Designs to achieve a sustainable and loveable brand through her clothing production and styling. Olivia is driven by a passion for great design with intricate details that have a memorable and everlasting effect. She dreams of a ready-to-wear independent designer brand that embraces her essence of ‘living, precise and elegance’. OMCOR creates bi-annual collections that are informed by a design ethos where simplicity and sustainability meets innovation. All collections are designed by Olivia herself, which focus on using the curves of the female body and strive to be everlasting garments that can be worn to many occasions.
As a brand, Olivia aims to have a conscious design journey when creating and focuses on sustainable and the ethical factors that contribute to the brand. She continues to seek better alternatives for fibres, production and distribution and waste.
Olivia is a 20 year old woman who has big aspirations for her future. She has always had an eye for design and has loved sewing, drawing and creating.
From when she was born she has always loved fashion. She loves designing, sewing and creating. She explains that as soon as she got her first sewing machine, her parents couldn’t get her away from it.
Olivia has studied many fashion courses already. These include; Applied Fashion and Technology at Holmesglen during high school. As well as completing; Certificate of Fashion Styling, Advanced Certificate of Creative Styling and Masters Certificate of Professional Styling, all done at Australian Style Institute. She is currently studying a Bachelor in Branded Fashion Design at Torrens University.
In 2020, Olivia started up her own small business selling Face Masks during Melbourne’s second lockdown. From there she started to expand platforms and use Instagram to promote and build a community who could relate and enjoy her content.
Olivia's 'little motto' is being ‘green and growing rather than ripe and rotting’. This tells her, she can always grow during the green stage however if ‘ripe’ she will become too comfortable where she is. Olivia enjoys a challenge and enjoys solving the unknown. Olivia also loves the quote ‘be comfortable in the uncomfortable’, from a young age she had found this quote which she has carried through with her ever since.
Ashley Evans is a Melbourne based aspiring Art Director. Ashley has always been passionate about fashion and photography and that was excelled by watching 'The September Issue'. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Communications in Advertising. Ashley decided to take on the creative challenge of re-branding OMCOR Designs, which she has been able to confidently and concisely hit the target audience and objects which Olivia had in mind.
Harry Cornwell is a self taught Photographer and is currently working with a Photography company in his spare time. All photographs within OMCOR are taken by Harry himself, unless stated otherwise.
